Last week we talked about the benefits of yoga with your kiddos and showing them that exercise can be fun!
But with Christmas right around the corner (can we talk about how CHRISTMAS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER) we wanted to give you some gift ideas that also support locally owned business because there is nothing better than shopping local!
Now of course we have some great gifts for that fitness lover in your life. Gift cards that you can customize for any price, and some super cute shirts (I mean, maybe we’re biased… but also we aren’t. The shirts are cute and that’s just a fact). You can find our gift cards online, or just drop in the studio and check out our shirts, and cute tumblers!
And if you’re into sipping coffee while looking cute, snag one of our Tumbler+Shirt combos! Our Rare Bird Tumbler + Any shirt of your choice for $45!
If you are looking for some cute, ecletic hand bags, headbands, house decorations, and even coffee, check out Rahab’s Rope! The great thing about Rahab’s Rope is that they are working to help women who are at risk or have been forced into commercial sex trade in India. So while you’re shopping there you are also helping women come out of slavery into a safe environment! Below you can see our super cute ornament we got for the studio, and Brooke sporting one of their headbands!
The Market On Washington
The Market On Washington is a fairly new store that just opened in September, and we are kind of obsessed. They have so much cute stuff from home décor, to The Giving Keys, to the ever so amazing Between You & Me Signs (If you love our “you belong here” sign in our studio, you can thank The Market, and Between You & Me). We are just swooning over this store. If you stop in the Market be sure to tell Jen the crazy gals at Rare Bird said hey hey 😉
Elizabeth & Co.
Another place we love is Elizabeth and Co. Resale Treasures. This store has some great finds. We even got some furniture and chairs for the studio from here, and Sandie loves to shop their vintage pyrex collection (who doesn’t need more pyrex in their life?).
There are also a lot of great restaurants in Clarkesville where you can get gift certificates, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a free meal?
When you shop local, you are supporting a person. A human being working hard at making their dreams come true. We get it. We live in the age of amazon prime, and free shipping, but there’s something to be said for giving your money to a small town business, knowing you are making a difference in someone’s life. We love our little town and the community we have built here and we love the businesses that we get to work along side. So this year, check out your local stores and see just how amazing all these small business are!
