What should I bring?
Bring a yoga mat and a towel, if you have one. You’ll also want to bring along some water…and a smile!
What if I don’t have a yoga mat?
If you’re a first-timer and haven’t taken the leap and you don’t own a yoga mat yet, no worries…we got you! We have some mats available for our local birds to use.
What should I wear?
Wear some athletic clothes that you’re comfortable in, but make sure they’ll allow you to move and flow. You won’t need socks and shoes for the mat.
How early should I get to class?
If you haven’t already created an account with us online, arriving 5-10 minutes before the scheduled class time will give you plenty of time to check in, get your mat set up, and chat up your instructor and the amazing local birds you’ll meet. Please note that NO late entries will be permitted.
Do you have classes for beginners?
Our goal at Rare Bird is to provide a place where EVERYONE can be involved. We offer classes of varying levels and opportunities for all of our local birds. Check out the class description or shoot us a quick message if you’re not sure which class is right for you. We’re happy to point you in the right direction and we look forward to seeing you on the mat.
How far in advance should I eat before class?
You know your body best and you’ll figure out what you can tolerate and what you need. Always make sure you drink plenty of water. A common tip for those planning on attending a yoga class, is to arrive on a semi-empty stomach. Meaning, come well-hydrated, but try not to eat for 1-2 hours before your scheduled class.
How do I book classes? Or what’s this app I keep hearing about?
You can book classes online from your computer by going to the schedule tab on our site, HERE. Or you can download the super convenient MindBody app where you can book classes, view the upcoming schedule, and purchase passes and memberships!
